[real weddings] A Dazzling Los Angeles Wedding Celebration

Time is flying by, the 2019 wedding season has already begun but I had to share a few inspirational planning photos from this 2018 southern California Wedding Reception. These photographs by Jason Q Tran are stunning…I was super lucky to be a part of this very talented vendor crew:

A Margarita Toast favor with seating card

Escort tag with favor toast
We combined their wedding favor ‘Margarita Toast’ with the escort tags! These were printed on labels & adhered to straws, which were then attached to each bottle.
Marble Table Number Card
Each framed table number card listed a personal note about the couple.
Marble Cake Menu
I love that the Wedding Cake matches the purple marbled stationery design I created for the couple! The wedding Menus were laid out at each place setting.

[Wedding Favors] Tea, a new classic

“Downton Abbey” may be done for this year, but that doesn’t mean anyone has stopped drinking tea (or forsaken it for Gin & Tonic with the debut of the final 7 episodes of”Mad Men”). Quite the contrary.

Tea is an on-trend beverage, especially black tea, which has been shown in recent studies to be super good for you (or, at the very least, way better for you than a cocktail). Save the hair of the dog for the hotel minibar and give your guests a truly salubrious (ahem, healthy) morning-after option at your big event with one of these exclusive wedding favor tea blends from Stephen Smith Teamaker.

Stephen was the guy who brought Starbucks Tazo, and his redux company is now run by his wife and puts out exquisite teas of all types from its home base in Portland, Oregon. I like the string-tie boxes, which have a “handsome” handmade look and custom labels with your wedding date, names, and event location. Fill with 15 sachets of the classic black tie blend, sure to be strong enough to bring even your dance floor–hogging ex into consciousness in time for your post-wedding brunch. Oh wait, scratch that. Hopefully these custom wedding favors will go so fast there’s no way any will be left by the time he decides to stumble to his room.

[wedding favor] custom soaps

Oh my… I’m loving this idea of customizing the scent & design for your own soap [to give as a wedding favor or for any special event]. Meow Meow Tweet, an organic soap, body care and soy candle making company, personalized these small half bars for each client with special wrapping that fit the aesthetic and feel of each wedding!

Email meow meow tweet for more information about custom soaps and candles. They can do custom artwork and packaging to fit the details of your special event.
Plus, check out their shop for lots of gifts & kits!
Of course I can’t help but adore the awesome drawings on all their packaging 😉

grapefruit GANG

Edible wedding & party favors : support a cause too!

A cute online bake shop called Baking for Good was brought to my attention by the gang at Pregnancy Magazine {I was even lucky enough to sample a baby-bottle iced sugar cookie}! I’m happy to report that the baked goods are very tasty, PLUS 15% of every purchase you make on this bake sale site goes to the cause of your choice!

So, of course I started thinking…how perfect would these treats be as an edible wedding or party favor to match your theme?
> there are a bunch of goodies to choose from, they will even customize any iced cookie to your specifications when you inquire by email. I love the instagraham cookies below:

> after you receive the individually wrapped bags, add a label sticker OR tag with ribbon; print your monogram OR wedding date/name, along with a short note about your donation.

> you could even display these sweet gifts on your reception table as your all-in-one edible favor (escort/seating card); just add each guest name & table assignment along with the description & website from your cause.

> plus bridal & baby shower favors; maybe add a custom sign on an easel OR card in a frame on the dessert table, letting all the gals know the chosen donation.

*below are a few more examples, which I designed for past clients, showing wedding labels & tags to match the ceremony & reception stationery, along with an all-in-one escort card & edible favor.
