A new pastime of mine, when I have a break of course, is to hang out on Pinterest.com {a virtual pinboard}. It’s so easy to save images & inspiration that you find randomly online (& from other users) then neatly organize onto a board of your own interests! Eventually, while I was searching for color inspiration, I came across design seeds; an artistic site for all who love color. Designer & color forecaster, Jessica, finds striking images to create each palette combination. Below are just a few of my favorites:

Not only is this super helpful for room design & craft projects, but I especially love this site for brides and party planners when trying to find a perfect palette for a wedding or event. You can search by color or theme to reveal a few palette options to choose from. Plus, each color swatch is shown on the side so you can grab the HEX code…which is very helpful for the rest of us vendors ;) find your color

Are you using Pinterest yet? If not, you can request an invite on their website. Otherwise, please follow me…  I will return the favor so we can all share our inspirational boards together. happy pinning!

Congrats to Francesca & Eric, married October 9th, 2011 at the

I’m super thrilled the filigree scroll I designed for their save the date & invitations was added to this gorgeous wedding cake {love the bold, blue color too} by Sweet and Saucy Shop, who also provided the dessert table!  See more inspiration below from their elegant wedding coordinated by sassy girl weddings & photographed by next exit photography!

san francisco wedding invitation & stationery suite

I was thrilled to illustrate the San Francisco skyline for Lianne & Al’s customized wedding invitation…and I love that the design was carried on throughout the reception stationery! Page Bertelsen photographed these beautiful images that lianne was sweet enough to share with me.

Congrats to Naomi & Keith, married on September 24, 2011 in Beverly Hills, CA.
I was privileged to design their wedding reception stationery, which included the ceremony programs, edible favor labels, escort cards and table number tents. Their photographer, Heather Kincaid, recently sent me a few photos of these creations that were shot on the big day, I’ve also included a few of my faves from her blog:

I’m very lucky to live down the street from Flora Grubb Gardens, I easily find myself there every now & then picking up a few plants & flowers to add to my small, city patio {and of course for the coffee bar!}. But guess what? they have a separate floral design studio…which means they do weddings & events! yay! below are just a few of my favorite photos for inspiration:

Plus, it looks like they offer their gorgeous gardens as a venue too… I just found this post over at ruffled blog!

Congrats to Leah & Rob, married on September 10, 2011 in Malibu, California!
Uyen (their sassy-girl wedding coordinator) asked me to design the wedding reception stationery, which included their unique program fan + menu & table signs! These beautiful photos were shot by Lane Dittoe Fine Art Wedding Photography

> their wedding program fan was printed on 5×7 bracket cards, with the main ceremony & reception info printed on the front card & their creative Thank You on the back card. I then adhered each card together with a jumbo stick in between.

{you can see even more inspiration at lane’s blog & now on Grey Likes Weddings!!}

Congrats to Grace & Leo!
Married July 2, 2011 in Beverly Hills, California.

I’m so happy I can finally showcase this unique wedding invitation suite along with the awesome photography from grace & leo’s big day! {my favorites are shown below by brandon kidd photography}

We first designed their
eye-chart save the date postcards, {which we also used on their escort tent cards, shown below}. The personalized monogram was based on the Ishihara color plate! This was a very difficult design process for me, but one I DO NOT regret ;) especially since they added the monogram to their cake {by Scrumptious Wedding Cakes}!  We slipped the RSVP & Wedding Map enclosure cards behind the tall, 2-layer invitation and added an orange grosgrain ribbon to hold it all together. Of course we had to add the matching all-in-one guest /return address label wraps to the outer orange envelopes! fun-fun!

The wedding reception stationery matched the invitations, but we added blue card stock instead of the peacock color for the layered ceremony program. Also shown above is their square menu fan with eye-chart escort & table number tents below.

Congrats to Anh & Todd, married July 17, 2011.
I’m finally showcasing their 2-layer tall/tea-length wedding invitation suite!

I first designed their intertwined palm tree logo…  I then laid out the typography using zapfino & copperplate fonts. I love that they chose the natural white linen shimmer paper to layer with the gold card stock {click on the photo to see the texture}! Their personalized wedding map & RSVP postcard enclosures were tucked behind the invite.  *NOTE* the pocket on the back isn’t closed on one side since the size of these enclosure cards wouldn’t allow for a fully closed pocket. instead you can place them loosely behind the invite or tie with your choice of ribbon, twine or elastic thread.
